Acadia Gantz is an ultrarunner, running coach and midwife. Inspired by a strong family value of caring for children, Acadia became a midwife because she believes that pregnancy and postpartum is a pivotal moment in a family’s life. Throughout her work she carries the philosophy that folks deserve to be heard, allowed to make autonomous decisions about their care and come away feeling empowered. When this happens, new parents and families are empowered to raise their kiddos in the best way they can.
This fall she will be running 100 miles across the Utah mountains to raise money and awareness for Medical Missions for Children. Medical Missions for Children is a Massachusetts based non-profit that provides life saving dental work and surgeries for under-privileged children and young-adults in countries around the world. Acadia was inspired to run for MMFC because of her belief that caring for all children, through their entire childhood, is deeply important.
