The Alaska Association of Chiefs of Police was established as a voice representing all law enforcement executives. Our mission is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of Alaska’s criminal justice system. We hope to accomplish this by providing our members access to a professional network of law enforcement executives; by providing training, mentoring, and professional assistance, and providing some valuable tools to assist Alaska’s law enforcement administrators in becoming better leaders and managers.
Our members are police chiefs and executives from all areas of law enforcement in the State of Alaska. Alaska is an enormous state where most of our communities are not connected by a road system and where our law enforcement community faces challenges unique to the “Last Frontier.” With many agencies having severely limited resources, we all endeavor to work together in positive partnerships to accomplish our goals.
