MTAA members are providing updates to their members on COVID-19 (Coronavirus) including information about occupational health and safety, workplace relations and other important information. In addition, each state government and the commonwealth government are providing assistance packages to help businesses.
Each year the MTAA, through its member associations and AARA, receives numerous concerns and complaints of cases from independent automotive repairers regarding unfair and anti-competitive restrictions on access to repair information and the restrictions this has on their ability to conduct repairs.
MTAA is collecting evidence to advocate to Government for a prescribed Franchising Code of conduct to ensure the fair and reasonable access to repair information for independent automobile repairers.
