AAUW Valley Forge (AAUW) is a nonprofit outreach program for women in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Our organization influences public debate on critical social issues such as education, civil rights, and workplace equity.
We’ve been at the forefront of the fight for equal pay and business opportunity for women, and the battle is still on. Men still predominate in the top positions and highest-paying professions, while women still receive only 83 cents for every dollar a man earns. Though we are nonbiased, we are not values-neutral:
AAUW publishes ground-breaking studies on women. We are one of the largest financing sources in the world dedicated to graduating women, and one of our objectives is to combat sexism in education at all levels.
