He obtained a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) , advised by Distinguished Professor Demetri Terzopoulos . He also received an MS degree in Computer Science from Delaware State University (DSU) and a BS degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) , Bangladesh.
