The Eight Bells dates all the way back to 1741. It was originally known as ‘Lantoffs’ and was owned by the Manor of Gamlingay. It passed through many hands until in 1823 when it was renamed ‘The Ringers’. In 1823 the pub was sold to Simpsons Brewery and the name changed once again to ‘The Six Bells’.
