The state of Oregon forecasts that an additional 30,000 people will make Bend their home in the next 7 to 10 years. Resident input, through the City recognized Neighborhood Associations, is vital to ensure the City Council knows what its residents value. "Neighborhood Associations maintain and improve the quality of life in the city, increase citizen participation in local decision making, and form an effective partnership between the city and neighborhood residents." - City of Bend
