The Pittsburgh Musicians' Union (PMU) is an organization of over 750 professional musicians. For more than 100 years, the PMU has been working to achieve dignity and just wages for our art. Our members include the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra , the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra , Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Orchestra , the River City Brass Band and the orchestras for Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera and many other performing arts groups. As a part of the American Federation of Musicians (our national organization) with 100,000 members nationwide, our members are connected and informed of matters of importance to musicians.
