African Street Style London provides a platform for the presentation of the creative influence of African diaspora. We utilise our keen interest in heritage, culture and identity, and explore how these may be interpreted through artistic forms
Where possible, our work specifically aims to utilise non-traditional settings, and present actions which both celebrate and inform the considerations of our public spaces, highlighting the role of the creative arts in improving the relationship between people, and place.
With working associations across academia, artists, architects and historians, we adapt a participatory approach to our work, reflecting our preoccupation in heritage and culture. Where appropriate, we seek to create a civic narrative to deliver our work, applying our interest in exploring how the arts may influence the relationship between people and places.
