Aiya Saigua , our company's name, is pronounced Ī-yah Sī-gwah . “Aiya” is a Chinese expression used to convey surprise or frustration. The pronunciation of “Saigua” in Cantonese means watermelon, though it is spelled differently. As a child, Pam, our Creative Director, made up this playful nonsensical phrase that was fun to say and it became her battle cry.
