I'm Alex Simand. I live and work in San Francisco, having arrived here via a circuitous route: Russian / Middle Eastern immigrant who grew up in Canada . In spite of a summer Zodiac sign, I yearn for subzero temperatures and talk about poutine more often than is appropriate. I hold an MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles (whose website inexplicably features my face ) and write short fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry.
