Arizona, the Grand Canyon state, achieved statehood on February 14, 1912, the last of the 48 coterminous United States to be admitted to the union.
Arizona is a haven for doing: golfing, hiking, and rafting, but it's also one of the best destinations for relaxing. Its' spas are world-renowned and offer treatments ranging from massages to facials. There are ski resorts in the areas of Flagstaff and Tucson.
