Dr. David Chroust is an American historian of Czech origin. He entered grammar school when Soviet tanks came to Czechoslovakia in 1968. One year later, he fled to the U.S. and entered a refugee camp. From his perspective, when scientists in the Czech Republic focus on refugees, they often neglect the perspective of child refugees, their experiences and how those experiences influenced their lives.
