I try to get my brush wet every day or at least get a pencil to paper. I often get an idea of what to paint and it simmers in my brain, sometimes for a week and or even a month. Sometimes I know what to paint and I begin with it. But as things evolve and colors come into play, the outcome is often totally different than what I envisioned. Sometimes I don’t know what the painting is going to be, but start painting anyway… and the outcome is an exciting event in itself.
