A R A Heritage Buses is an incorporated society, set up with a plan to recognise our great city’s transport heritage. Auckland Regional Authority (ARA) previously known as Auckland Transport Board (ATB) was formed in 1963, later to become the Auckland Regional Council (ARC) in 1989. The ARA ran bus services through a large part of Auckland, operating as the Auckland Regional Authority Passenger Transport Division.
