Description: Sculpt offers visitors an incredible experience, discovering dramatic modern sculpture in historic churches. Seven international artists are creating site-specific sculptures for rural churches around Masham on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Sculpt is a major new free art event taking place from 25th May to 21st September 2019

Art in the Churches is a small charity which creates dramatic art events in churches. This helps to keep our churches relevant for community use, helping to preserve them at the centre of our communities and as key elements of our street-scapes. The dramatic art installations encourage people to engage with with our heritage and provides artists with large scale commissions that are increasingly hard to come by.
Celebrating 1,350 years of Ripon Cathedral through a series of art installations to bring the Anglo-Saxon heritage of the cathedral to a modern audience through the medium of contemporary art.
