Sustainable Groundwater Management - Fox Canyon GMA
The Arroyo Santa Rosa Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) was established in 2016 in the wake of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, passed by the California legislature in 2014. The GSA has the responsibility to manage the groundwater resources of the Basin.
The GSA is governed by a six-member Board composed of the Camrosa Water District Board and a representative from the County of Ventura. The GSA has elected to develop and implement a groundwater sustainability plan (GSP) to achieve sustainable groundwater management by 2043.
The GSP is currently under development. We have completed the water budget, built a new hydrogeologic conceptual model, and presented sustainable management criteria to the GSA Board of Directors.
