During 2013 Baltinglass & District Forum is putting its weight behind the various events being planned in the area for The Gathering. Forum Work Groups are organising two of them — the St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Balto Balloon Fest (21-23 June).
Baltinglass stalwart Phyllis Flanagan has come up with a novel fundraiser / emblem for the Baltinglass Gathering. She has crocheted a hundred shamrocks which are mounted on cards mentioning The Gathering and the Baltinglass website, www.baltinglass.ie , and they may be sent to friends or relatives abroad as a symbol of welcome.
The shamrocks may be purchased for €3 each at Egan Office Supplies or Gorrys' Pharmacy. All proceeds go towards the Forum's events funds.
