Hi, I’m Barbara Baskin, welcome to my website and art studio. I’m glad you’re here. When I was growing up, my parents took me to lots of art exhibits and art galleries. I remember being awestruck at all the beautiful artwork and thinking then, someday I’ll be an artist. Here I am living one of my dreams.
I tend to paint very organically with lots of texture and layers because that’s the way I think about life. Life has many facets and layers. Whether I’m painting an abstract piece of work or something more recognizable, I’m painting an idea rather than an object.
