SINCE 2015, NORTHERN ARIZONA HAS BEEN OUR HOME
The painting above of Cathedral Rock in Sedona, AZ was one of the first larger format canvases I created after moving here six years ago from Conifer, CO. Landscape has become a new focus in my art, but I haven't left horses behind yet. The rescue has wound down and our one remaining horse here is Victor, our spokes horse. This painting has been purchased by a neighbor and hangs in their dining room in a place of honor. I am currently working on more landscapes, particularly honoring the memory of a deceased artist friend as well as the great Merrill Mahaffey, the master painter of the Colorado River and Grand Canyon.
