What was planned for 2021, but not yet feasible in 2022 due to the pandemic, will now become reality in 2023: with the 13 WDSF world ranking tournaments of the Berlin Dance Festival, international dance sport tournaments are returning to the arena of the Max-Schmeling-Halle.
From March 31st to April 2nd - one week before Easter - the two-decade tradition of WDSF tournaments will be continued at a new tournament venue. While the Blaues Band der Spree is still being organized by the two organizing clubs at Easter in the Siemensstadt sports center, the range of world ranking tournaments - from three (Seniors I Standard, World Open Standard and International Open Latin) - has now been expanded to thirteen tournaments.
This also includes the former, international tournaments of the Berlin Summer Dance Festival - i.e. Junior Standard and Latin as well as Youth Standard and Latin, that took place for two decades.
