In 1951, a group of dedicated Canadian fanciers created the “Honourable Company of Bullmastiff Fanciers of Canada”. Later that year the newly created club held its first Specialty show on September 15, 1951 in Dixie, Ontario. Champion Robin of the Rouge (pictured right) owned by Dorothea Daniell-Jenkins, won Best of Breed over 25 other bullmastiffs, with Ch Binagain of Bullmas taking Best of Opposite Sex. Fifty years later, the Bullmastiff Fanciers of Canada is a very dynamic club, with events planned throughout the whole year which include many Regional and Nationals Boosters, two Regional and one National Specialty shows, as well as CGS tests.
