Bonvida founded its specialty wine import company in 2006 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The objective since then has been to build a portfolio made up of unique wineries with product ranges that display characteristics and typicity of the place that they originate from, while reflecting the work of smart viticultural and winemaking talents. We promote styles of wine that we believe will resonate with wine enthusiasts, whether one is purchasing wine for retail, or consumers for enjoyment at home, or if tasked
Since the outset we have continued to follow our criteria to carefully select innovative producers that focus on sustainable viticultural regimes and winery practices, and the making of wine with respect for nature, terroir and people.
Alberta is Canada’s sole fully open, non-monopoly market and this contributed to our success with the building of our portfolio. In 2012 we opened an office in Vancouver, British Columbia to promote our portfolio of producers there.
