Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, Visakhapatnam was started in 1973 by 'The Society for Collegiate Education'. The latter found its origin in the minds of select prominent citizens of the city who were deeply interested in promoting higher education. Appropriately they named the college in honour of Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya who was the then Vice Chancellor of the Andhra University.A ten-acre plot was acquired in the heart of the city and necessary buildings were constructed.
The college works with a vision of serving the young generation with a tool called education to help them serve the society as value added citizens. It inculcates values and shapes their personalities for the cause of national development.
