I am a writer to the core of my being. I don’t just write because it’s my job, I write because it’s who I am, it’s what I love and it’s how I make sense of the world. If I never got paid for writing anything else in my life, I’d still write.
The reason I write is that it is one of the main ways we communicate as human beings. I love the intricacies and subtleties of language. I love playing around with meaning and structure of sentences. I love the feel of words and the impact they have. I believe it is impossible to underestimate the power of language.
I’ve been lucky enough to work as a copywriter, journalist, blogger editor and proofreader for some of the largest organisations in the UK – the NHS, the Department of Education, the British Council, the Scottish Government, the British Chambers of Commerce, UK Trade & Investment, Health Education England, the Ministry of Justice to name just a few. I also love to work with SMEs and individuals.
