We are the charitable trust involved in Health Education Founded in Early 2006. CANFRI Was founded by Dr. S Narasimhaiah, to spread cancer awareness among the rural population of India. Having been a part of multiple health education programmes and a keen academic with interest in "Health Outcomes" and "Translational research", Health education has been at the heart. Realization of the lack of awareness regarding cancer among the rural population in the state of Karnataka was the stimulus
CANFRI 2017 ‐ Is a cancer screening and awareness camp scheduled for the 3rd Sept 2017. This is an effort by a group of doctors hailing from rural Chikkaballapur. Amongst them are the honourable of Chikkaballapur MLA Dr Sudhakar, Simha ‐ A minimally invasive colorectal, pelvic and peritoneal onco surgeon from London, Girish ‐ senior clinician in Baptist and Dr Krishnaprasad from Primary care, Chikkaballapur.
A cancer awareness week is scheduled for early summer 2015, in the Nandi Valley, Chikkaballapur. A fund raising week with interschool competitions, cultural activities, walkathons, cycling and biking events are in the pipeline. A series of shows and talks are being planned.
