Caprini Creamery is owned and operated by Kristy Kikly and her husband, Mike Hoopengardner and is located about 40 miles east of Indianapolis in Spiceland, Indiana. All the milk for our cheese comes from our herd of Nigerian Dwarf and Oberhasli goats. We make a variety of cheeses from fresh chevre and feta, bloomy rind cheeses and a few aged cheeses.
We purchased 57 acres of cropland in 2007 and started developing the farm. We have planted over 40 acres of pasture consisting of a variety of grasses, legumes and forbs for rotational grazing and hay for our dairy goats and llamas. In August 2011 the commercial dairy was completed and State certified.
