With her “large, sweeping voice” and “committed dramatic interpretation,” Carolyn Hoehle is quickly gaining recognition as a young dramatic soprano to watch. The 2019/20 season finds Ms. Hoehle in residency with Austin Opera as the company’s Spotlight Artist where her mainstage responsibilities include Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto and covering the title role in Turandot in addition to being a featured recitalist and artist for outreach performances with the company.
Prior season highlights include Ariadne (cover) in Ariadne auf Naxos with Austin Opera, Aida (cover) and the High Priestess in Aida with Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Vitellia in La Clemenza di Tito with LOLA Austin, and partial performances as Senta in Die Fliegender Holländer, Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelities , and Gertrude/Mütter in Hänsel und Gretel with the Vocal Arts Festival in Colorado Springs, CO.
