Carolyn Jabs has written about families, ethics, environmental issues and the Internet for more than four decades. Her work has been published in dozens of magazines including Reader’s Digest, Working Mother, Self and Redbook. She has contributed essays to Newsweek and the New York Times . She was a Contributing Editor at Home PC and Family PC , and her monthly column, Growing Up Online , has appeared in parenting publications across the country.
Cooperative Wisdom, Bringing People Together When Things Fall Apart is her most recent book, co-authored with Dr. Donald Scherer , an ethicist with a unique approach to conflict.The book describes five social virtues which help people restore cooperation in families, schools, workplaces and communities. The book has won numerous awards including the Nautilus Award for Relationships and Personal Communication.
Carolyn is also the author of The Heirloom Gardener , one of the first books about heirloom vegetables. She has contributed essays to Children and Nature: Making Connections and the Encyclopedia of Business Ethics and Society .
