Modern biotechnologies collect an ever-increasing amount of data about model organisms and humans. Genomics and protemics enable us to investigate extremely large numbers of molecular variables simultaneously under experimental and observational conditions. Medical imaging and electronic health records provide new opportunities for scientists and clinicians to improve our understanding of disease classification and prognosis.
