Did you know there are freshwater subspecies of seal ? I did not. Evidently there are a few. The one I came across is called the Ladoga Seal and is found in Ladoga Lake in northwestern Russia. Because I could not locate a picture of a Ladoga Seal that was not copyrighted, the ones pictured here are Baikal Seals, found in Siberia. Cute lil buggers, aren’t they?
