A straightforward documentation all the interior doors of an emotionally loaded space. Traditionally, the door is used as an ambivalent symbol for either opportunity or imprisonment. The doors depicted are all cracked open, they are both inviting and half shut. The work pendulates between W. D. Winnicott’s claim (via T.S. Eliot) that “home is where we start from” and the way Moyra Davey (via Svetlana Boym) refers to “reflective nostalgia”— as one that is not about “rebuilding the mythical place called home”
