Actual Castle has been erected in 1774 in place of the Minimes convent. This convent, previously built in 1650, was in a great state of decay when the Countess of Lauraguais, Princess of Isenghien and wealthy heiress of the Chalon-Arlay fortress, bought it. She decided to build a vast neo-classic -style castle, inspired by the works of Claude-Nicolas Ledoux, architect of the Royal Saltworks in Arc-et-Senans. She entrusted for this task a local architect, Rémy Léger, who kept nothing from the convent except
