The beauty of Yoga Therapy is that it doesn’t fit into the confines of a constructed yoga class.
My name is Chelsea. I first entered a yoga studio 11 years because my life had become unmanageable with anxiety, trauma, and suicide attempts. I was emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically broken. The physical pain was tangible, it made sense to me, and it was nothing compared to the emotional pain I carried deep within. After a PTSD diagnosis in 2011, I was finally able to put words to what I was feeling, and begin a journey of recovery.
Yoga therapy is a process of empowerment, merging of Western medical and psychological knowledge with Eastern yoga practices and philosophy. Yoga therapy utilizes physiological postures, fascial release, breath work, and meditation to help individuals facing health challenges at any level manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality and energy, improve sleep quality, and improve mindset.
