Cheryll lives and works in the South West of England, in the Tamar Valley, situated in the foothills of Dartmoor and on the borders of Devon and Cornwall. Her previous studios - in the bustle of the East End of London, the wilds of Connemara in the West of Ireland and the exotic Toulon Bay in the South of France - make this a most tranquil homecoming.
Cheryll has been painting all her life and has worked in a variety of media including oil painting, watercolour and pastel as well as printmaking in screenprinting, etching, lino and lithography.
Later, Cheryll came to Iconography after visiting the Monasteries of Meteora in Central Greece. Cheryll finds a powerful presence in the icons, a silence, a peace and a fierce beauty which she strives to recreate in all her work.
