Description: CHRISTOPHER BONASTIA, author of SOUTHERN STALEMATE and KNOCKING ON THE DOOR, is a Sociologist at Lehman College (CUNY). Based in New York, Professor Bonastia analyzes the politics of racial segregation in historical and contemporary contexts. His latest book, THE BATTLE NEARER TO HOME, examines school segregation in New York City. Professor Bonastia also produces electronic music as UNO COLLISION.
