Carole qualified as MB.ChB. from Edinburgh University in 1972. She worked as a GP for 25 years and later as an Associate Specialist in GU Medicine at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. She has been an aviation enthusiast for 30 years and previously owned and ran a small flying school, working as a flying instructor for a time.
Both Jim and Carole are qualified helicopter and fixed wing pilots. They currently own a Gazelle helicopte r .
