This is my very first collection! After taking specialized welding training at BKMW School in Brooklyn, I fell in love with the combination of copper and silver. The models in this first collection give the impression that the silver is dipped in copper while the two metals are actually welded side by side. Thus, copper could never detach from silver unlike a plating. It is a production technique that requires a lot of attention to detail, but the results are impressive and much more durable than veneer!
This collection is based on techniques learned in Spain during an internship in jewelry forging in Barcelona. This process is little used in Quebec. It consists of hammering the metal to give shape to the jewel. It is impressive to see how the use of a simple tool like a hammer can transform a sheet of metal! Little tip for the earring: pass it behind the ear to hide the end of the rod and give an even more interesting effect to this model.
