In our opinion, CLBG is the luckiest Corvette club there is. Why? Because we get to hold our monthly membership and board meetings at the National Corvette Museum. On top of that, there is no charge to our club. This has enabled our club to keep renewal rates some of the lowest for Corvette clubs.
A little history of why this is. According to Gary Cockriel, our club came to an agreement back around 1990 that we would supply a lot of volunteers in exchange for using the museum for our monthly meetings. In fact, our most recent Kentucky Derby party was also at no charge to us. All areas of volunteering add up for our club, but one of the areas we have focused on is parking at the bigger events at the NCM.
