The museum is situated within an ecosystem of profound climate activism. Houstonians in recent years have banded together after severe climate events: local organizations and mutual aid groups that sprouted up in the wake of Hurricane Harvey continue to operate - due in large part to ongoing disasters that do not wait for recoveries to fully take place. The museum space is an opportunity to translate the work being done in the activist realm within Houston into the realm of art and social memory. We hope to
