Community Solidarity is a collective response to the rise of the politics of division and hate. We have seen the impact of this politics across the world, and see how it speaks to so many of our own neighbours who feel frustrated and angry today.
As people from all walks of life, we believe deeply in equity, human rights and social solidarity; affirm the need for fair, consistent public health measures and strong public services in all communities; support every person’s right to decent conditions of work and respect from those with wealth and power; and recognize that we must take action to achieve true reconciliation as a country.
We affirm our common determination that despite the disruptions of recent times, we can work together for a better future based on values of social, economic, racial and climate justice.
