Welcome to Cooper Landing, Alaska! We’re located right in the middle of the Kenai Peninsula—and right in the middle of all the action—when it comes to world class outdoor recreation. Comprised of about 300 year-round residents, Cooper Landing offers a variety of wildlife species, spectacular mountain views, glacier-fed turquoise waters, and temperate rainforests. Established in 1949, the Community Club aims to serve and encourage all activities in the interest and welfare of the local citizens.
At the heart of the Cooper Landing, you will find the Mona Painter Community Hall. Built on the banks of the Kenai River in 1950, before commercial electricity or telephone was available, this hand-hewn log building stands as the historical pillar of the community. The hall has plenty of space and other accommodations for public meetings, seasonal and special events, and a host of social activities.
