From the pool you can watch the historic ship Roseway sail every afternoon out of Christiansted harbour as she passes Green Cay and Buck Island on her way towards St. Thomas. On all but the haziest days you'll also see the rest of the US and British Virgins Islands. At night, the lights of cruise ships seem to hang magically in space and the ferry to St. Thomas is visible all the way into Charlotte Amalie harbor. From the living room, look for tiny Bananaquits bathing in the leaves of the orchid growing on
Cruzan Heart faces northeast, giving bright morning sun and afternoon shade to the main rooms. For laying out to work on your tan, you'll find plenty of sun by the 40' pool - but you can also enjoy shady spots under the mahogany and palm trees. The villa is high enough on its hillside to enjoy steady cooling from the trade winds, and still less than a quick one mile drive down to the award-winning beach at Pelican Cove - one of our favorites.
