As of July 1, 2022, my term as President of the Louisville Chapter of CSI began. Thirty years ago I served my first term as chapter President and the industry was in a different place. Our chapter was very active with more than 125 members. Business was done in-person, on the phone, or by fax. Our industry, like many, is constantly changing and CSI has a voice in that change. The MasterFormat system now has 50 divisions, Uni-Format is another option that is popular with Design-Build projects. Certifications through examination are available through CSI for Construction Document Technology (CDT), Certified Construction Specifier (CCS), Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), and Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR).
