I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Demographic Research (DEMO) of the University of Louvain (UCLouvain) . Currently, I am holding an F.R.S.-FNRS postdoctoral fellowship . In my project, I investigate how adult children’s socioeconomic resources, particularly education, affect their parents’ health outcomes from a longitudinal and comparative life course perspective.

Before joining UCLouvain, I received a PhD from the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI-KNAW) and University of Groningen (RUG, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences) and a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Trento (Italy) . I was also part of the “Care, Retirement & Wellbeing of Older People Across Different Welfare Regimes” ( CREW ) research project.

My main research interests lie in social and gender inequalities in health, intergenerational relationships, social determinants of health, welfare systems, and quantitative methods for social research. I specialise in analysing large social survey datasets (such as SHARE ) and full-population register data. In particular, I analyse data for epidemiological and demographic research. My analytical approach is best described as theory-driven, quantitative empirical research.
