Description: I am a researcher and engineer working on robust and trustworthy artificial intelligence and (3D) computer vision.
I am a research scientist at DeepMind interested in robust and safe deep learning. Before, I was a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics supervised by Bernt Schiele and Matthias Hein . In 2021, I interned at DeepMind , working with Taylan Cemgil , Krishnamurthy (Dj) Dvijotham and Arnaud Doucet . Throughout my PhD, I also collaborated with Nandhini Chandramoorthy from the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center and volunteered in the PhdNet survey group.
My PhD was supported by a Qualcommm Innovation Fellowship 2019 . Furthermore, my work on bit error robustness was selected as outstanding paper at CVPR 2021 CV-AML , I was selected to participate in the 7th Heidelberg Laureate Forum 2020 , and my work on 3D reconstruction received the STEM-Award IT 2018 . I was also recognized as outstanding/top reviewer for CVPR, ICML and NeurIPS in several years.
