Life is available to us only in the present moment. Often, however, we are not available to life because we have become lost in thoughts or feelings about the past or the future, or habitual ways of thinking and acting. By being more attentive to each moment of our life we can avoid missing opportunities to experience joy and happiness and making mistakes that cause unnecessary suffering for ourselves and others.

The word "Buddha" means "one who is fully awake." Buddhist meditation practice offers the opportunity to nurture and develop our individual "Buddha nature" so that we do not miss our appointment with life. In this way we can discover and stay in touch with the wonderful, refreshing and healing elements in us and around us in each present moment of our lives.

We practice mindful sitting meditation, walking meditation, Dharma sharing, singing, and sometimes drinking tea and eating cookies.
