Derm-Biome Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a preclinical biopharmaceutical company founded in 2018 through its acquisition of a suite of natural compound based derivatives. These compounds exhibit potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antitumor, and antioxidant properties, and produced significant inhibitory effects in well established mouse models of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, blocking the development of these diseases in a dose dependent manner.
We have since developed a new generation of novel compounds (a composition of matter patent was filed in June 2021) that are even more active and soluble, and these new compounds were significantly more effective than FDA-approved topical AD drug crisaborole in a well established mouse model of atopic dermatitis.
Our purpose is to develop topical drugs for the significant unmet needs that still exist in many skin conditions and diseases, including chronic inflammatory skin diseases, skin cancer, and anti-aging. We intend to submit a Clinical Trial Application for a topical drug to Health Canada by Q1 2022.
