In New Jersey, about 650,000 people struggle with hunger—approximately 1 in 13. This includes 175,000 children. And these numbers are rising. As part of the Devil’s overall strategy to reduce food insecurity across our communities, the Devils Youth Foundation is raising $80,000 during the Playoffs to support the installation of a refrigerator at the Fulton Street Shelter in Newark.
This year, the Devils Youth Foundation awarded 24 grants, totaling over $890,000, to various organizations in New Jersey. These grants support community outreach programs benefiting more than 20,000 young people.
