Our mission is to assist persons with disabilities in accomplishing their independent living goals and objectives. We strive to ensure that the community in which they live is fully accessible, including equal access to programs and services.
DAC provides the following five core independent living services to individuals within our service area: independent living skills training, information and referral, institutional and youth transitions support, individual and systems advocacy, and peer mentoring. We serve people throughout Alamance, Caswell, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties.
Disability Advocacy Center (DAC) is a 501c3 nonprofit, woman/minority-led, consumer controlled, community-based advocacy, and independent living (IL) service organization. Our primary focus is serving people with cross-disabilities in Guilford, Alamance, Randolph, Rockingham and Caswell counties. Our mission is to help persons with cross-disabilities to attain their independent living goals, to be fully included in all aspects of our society, and to promote equal rights, equal access, and equal opportunity.
